Concepts leatned that have progressed in complexity to the present

Basketball is a sport for any age group and gender. The game is enjoyed by all no matter the abilities possessed. the degree of difficulty though changes as a person grows and matures physically and mentally. Mentally? what does that have to do with basketball. basketball is as mental as it is physical. you need to beat an opponent mentally and physically to win a game. as a young kid it was all just about learning and growing as a player. it was mostly physical. you learn how to shoot, dribble, and pass the ball. you learn all the basics of the game, also known as the fundamentals. but as you grow older the degree of difficulty and the complexity changes. you learn different ways to score, dribble, pass and so on. also a new spectrum is added to the game. the mental aspect of the game. in addition to shooting, passing, and dribbling you start to understand what a good shot is and what isn't plus others that have to with the fundamentals first learned at a young age. the learning never stops. soon you learn how to exploit your opponents and how to set up shots and plays for yourself and your team mates. also with these new knowledge comes new standards. with time not everyone can play the game at the competitive level. the elite are separated from those that play for fun. this game is a complex one that is always growing and changing. you never know what you are going to learn next or what to expect.

memoir

Basketball!!!!! What isn't their about this game that doesnt make me smile. well losing  but that is besides the point. this game hasnt been in my life for long but it has had huge impacts. from gibing me something to lobe doing to teaching me key skills and niccesities to get me through life. this game has thought me many thing such as hard work  teamwork, dedication, and humbleness. the game has been there for me during my harders times by gibing me away to channel my anger, frustratuins, annyouance, hurt, and just about every other obstacle life can throw at me. also no matter how many times i have failed at this challenging  game it has never failed me. the thrill and sense of freedom i get from playing this woundrous game i unexplainable. the sense of accomplishment i get from wining is unmatched by any other. the thrill, the joy, and even the deafeats are all looked forward too because it shows us that anything is possible in life. also this game has brought me many friends i now charish and even see as my brothers and sisters.
life can be very difficult and even a burden at times. makes me question a lot of things. i used to be very frustrated as a child. i didn't understand many things. but when i started playing basketball in 7th grade things got easier. i didn't find all the answers i was searching for but learned to not search as hard and not to question everything. when i am on the court nothing matters but what is happening at that moment. i took the same approach with life and everything has changed ever since then.

How basketball impacted my success in school

Dear, Basketball

I am writing to thank you for making me the man i am and giving me the skills neaded to excetl in school. you say how? i am just a game. but i say you are more then a game. their are many essentails and skills needed to play you. ofcourse athletic ability is required but that can only take you so far. other essentials are required to excel at you. these same essantials are the ones that help me succeed in school. the first one is hard work. hard work is a key ingredient in life as well as in a game such as you. with out hard work athletic ability is wasted and not used to the maximum potential. same goes for school. your brain is wasted if you dont use it to the best of its abilities. the second is dedication. hard work is pointless if your not dedicated. you have thought me to be dedicated to my school work and to bettering my self off of your hard wood. these too essentials combined have made me successful in school. thank you

                                                            Sincerely, a dedicated hard worker
